Higher Polytechnic Engineering School

Welcome and orientation

In the first week of the academic year, a welcome day is organised for first-year students, to which exchange students arriving in the first semester are also invited. It is held in the Assembly Hall, located in Pavilion III (Extension) of the Polytechnic School of Engineering.

At this event, the following will be announced:

  • The facilities.
  • The management team.
  • The coordinators of the degrees.
  • The coordinators of the different courses.
  • The student-tutors: students from higher courses who guide and advise on different procedures.
  • Information on work placements in companies, mobility, acquisition of the B1 foreign language, bibliographic resources and other services offered by the Lugo Campus.
  • Mechanisms for participation in the life of the centre and the Internal Quality System.
  • Where to find this information and how to use the centre's website. In addition, the degree committees may organise welcome activities on an individual basis if they deem it appropriate, which will be presented at the aforementioned event.
