The tutorial action is aimed at facilitating their integration into the institution and serves as a bridge between the students and the different services. In addition, it contributes to personalising university education and gives support to students in their training process for the degrees that are taught at the School.
The objectives of the Tutorial Action Plan are:
- To facilitate the integration of new students.
- To guide, support and advise students in their training process.
- To inform students about academic and professional issues that will allow them to plan their academic and professional future.
- To carry out a customised monitoring of students.
- To identify learning and organisational difficulties in the Degree studies in order to be able to analyse them and find a solution.
- To encourage students to participate in the life of the EPSE and the University of Santiago de Compostela.
The regulations to articulate the extraordinary assessment procedures and the review of grades approved by the Governing Board of the USC, in its session of 15 November 2001, implementing article 115 of the Bylaws of the USC and establishes the possibility that the students, under certain circumstances, can request extraordinary tutorial support, in a maximum of pending subjects as long as they do not altogether exceed 18 credits.
This support, which is the tutor’s responsibility, should provide each student with the necessary guidelines for the evolution of their learning and sufficient elements to evaluate their progress, maintaining in any case the necessary guarantees and transparency.
