O Campus Terra de Lugo, promovido pola Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, nace como resultado do acordo entre a USC e a Secretaría Xeral de Universidades, dependente da Consellería de Educación, Ciencia, Universidades e Formación Profesional da Xunta de Galicia, coa intención de transformar o campus de Lugo nun referente científico e social nos ámbitos de coñecemento vinculados á sustentabilidade económica, social e medioambiental do uso da TERRA.
