Mass spectrometer with triple quadrupole analyser. Curved Q0 (90º) for neutral species removal, curved (180º) long path collision cell for neutral species removal.
- Chromatographic system: Bruker 451 GC gas chromatograph.
- Ionisation sources: Electronic Impact (EI), and Positive Chemical Ionisation (PCI) and Negative Chemical Ionisation (NCI).
- Ionisation modes: positive and negative for CI, positive for EI.
- Types of injector:
- PTV 1079 universal capillary injector, with electronic flow control (EFC) and temperature programming.
- Bruker Combipal automatic robotic injector.
- Liquid sample injection (split/splitless/splitless with temperature programming/large volumes).
- Thermostatised headspace system.
- Solid phase micro-extraction system (SPME).
- Acquisition types: Full scan, SIM, MRM, precursor ion, product ion and neutral loss experiments.
- Mass range: 10-2000.
- Applications: small molecule - compound identification (spectro library search) and quantification.
- Spectra library: Nist, Wiley, aromas, pesticides.
