Schedule
Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Operational equipment
Mass spectrometer with high-vacuum time-of-flight (TOF) analyser.
    • It has different ionisation sources in orthogonal alignment, interchangeable with other systems of the Unit: ESI, APCI and APPI.
      • ESI-Electrospray (medium-high polarity analytes).
      • APCI-Chemical ionisation at atmospheric pressure (low-medium polarity analytes).
      • APPI-Photoionisation at atmospheric pressure (non-polar aromatic analytes or analytes with chromophore groups).
    • Coupling to an HPLC Agilent 1100 to work in FIA mode (ESI, APCI or APPI), using polypropylene plates or vials.
    • Sample measurement using APCI/APPI probe.
    • Syringe pump (adaptable to different syringe sizes and flow rates) to work by direct infusion.
    • High resolution MS analysis, thanks to its electrostatic ion reflector (15000 FWHM) with option to carry out Accurate Mass Measurement.
    • Mass range: 50 to 4000 m/z, in positive or negative mode.
    • Sensitivity using 10pg/uL reserpine (609 m/z; >10 S/N) with a mass accuracy of less than 5 ppm error.
