Schedule
Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Operational equipment
This is a macrosample element analyser for the determination of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and sulphur based on the total combustion of the sample technique and subsequent determination of the total content of each element.
  • Technical specifications

    • Independent detectors for each element:
      • Carbon: independent and selective IR detector.
      • Hydrogen: independent and selective IR detector.
      • Nitrogen: Differential thermoconductivity (TCD), optimised and low drift.
      • Sulphur: independent and selective IR detector.
      • Size of the sample: ata 1 g, depending on the nature of the sample (4 g in S oven).
      • Measuring range for 500 mg of sample:
        • Carbon: 50 ppm or 0.005 % to 50 % or 250 mg absolute.
        • Hydrogen: 200 ppm or 0.02 % to 50 % or 250 mg absolute.
        • Nitrogen: 80 ppm or 0,008 % to 100 % or 500 mg absolute.
        • Sulphur (for 350 mg): 10 ppm or 0.010 % to 20 % or 70 mg absolute.
    • Accuracy:
      • C: 25 ppm or 0.5 % RSD.
      • H: 100 ppm or 1 % RSD.
      • N: 40 ppm or 0.5 % RSD.
      • S: 5 ppm or 1 % RSD.
      • Readability: 0.0001 ppm
    • Analysis time: 4 minutes for CHN analysis, depending on sample type. 2 minutes for S.
    • Autosampler: automatic loader with 30 positions for the joint determination of CHN.
