  • Operational equipment
Calibration instruments
  • As a secondary dosimetry laboratory for therapy levels, the Radiophysics Laboratory has a secondary absorbed dose rate in water standard (traced to the German primary laboratory PTB).

As a secondary dosimetry laboratory for radiation protection levels, the Radiophysics Laboratory has a secondary air-in-air kerma and secondary ambient dose equivalent rate standard (traced to the German primary laboratory PTB).

    Additional dosimetry instrumentation

In addition, the laboratory has instruments to measure absolute or relative dose:

    •  Electrometers
    •  Ionisation chambers for cylindrical and planoparallel therapy levels of different active volumes.
    •  Diode detectors
    •  Beam analyser
    •  Radiochromic film

    Instrumentation to measure environmental parameters

Laboratory environmental conditions are measured with instrumentation calibrated in accredited laboratories:

    •  Absolute barometer
    •  Telethermometer with multiple external probes
    •  Thermohygrometer

    Instrumentation to measure dimensional magnitudes

The laboratory has equipment calibrated in accredited laboratories for measuring lengths.

    •  Two-contact inside micrometer
    •  Outside micrometers
    •  Callipers
