The EDP will consist of the student preparing a personal project, in which the knowledge, capacities, competences and abilities acquired during the studies carried out in the degree are integrated and developed. They will include at least tasks of bibliographical search and review, reading and integration of information, preparation of relevant results, writing, and presentation and defence of the work.
The End of Degree Project will be oriented towards the assessment of the following competences associated with the degree:
- To be able to define the objectives of the work, identifying the problem to be solved or the knowledge objective to be achieved.
- To design the tasks, organise the steps to follow to achieve the objectives and carry out the work according to the defined plan.
- Relevant information for the case, problem or object of study must be sought and selected, from sources at the level of advanced textbooks and incorporating some contributions from specialist scientific texts.
- Use must be made of the knowledge acquired through the studies that are relevant to the object of the project and these must be integrated with the new information obtained.
O TFG do Grao en Biotecnoloxia ten 15 créditos. Consistirá nun proxecto ou traballo original (individual o colectivo) do estudante no que se sinteticen e integren as competencias adquiridas nas ensinanzas previas do Grao. Os TFGs poderán ser bibliográficos, industriales o de investigación básica ou aplicada. Incluirá como mínimo, tarefas de busca e revisión bibliográfica, lectura e integración de información, elaboración de esquemas, redacción e presentación
O alumnado poderá optar por unha destas opcións:
- realizar dous TFG diferenciados nos que as liñas temáticas poden estar relacionadas e nos que cada TFG terá o seu propio titor (pertencente a unha das áreas de coñecemento con docencia en cada titulación).
- realizar un traballo conxunto formado por dúas partes: cada unha destas partes constituirá un TFG e terá o seu propio titor (pertencente a unha das áreas de coñecemento con docencia en cada titulación).
A relación temática entre as partes do traballo conxunto deberase reflectir no título dos TFG correspondentes aos Graos en Química e Bioloxía, seguindo o esquema:
1. TFG do Grao en Química: Título X. Parte A*. Titor 1.

2. TFG do Grao en Bioloxía: Título X. Parte B*. Titor 2.
