Student tutor

The student tutor is a student enrolled in a degree at the centre, in the 2nd year or later, who guides and supports new students who join the centre, trying to help them with their integration.

The tutor program is developed over two academic years.

In the first stage, students are trained to learn how the USC works and the techniques to guide new students.

In the second stage, these students welcome 1st year students and collaborate with the A Ponte program in visits to secondary schools and in receiving students at USC. They also collaborate by welcoming foreign students (from Erasmus and other exchange programs).

This activity is framed in Article 10.9.c) of Real Decreto 822/2021, with a recognition of six credits based on an agreement of the Consello de Goberno of 4 July 2008, developed by Resolución Rectoral of 14 December 2009.
