The objectives of the Self-Protection Plan are to prevent and control risks to people and property and to provide a suitable response to possible emergency situations, guaranteeing the integration of these actions with the public civil protection system.

The Self-Protection Plan addresses:

the identification and assessment of risks,
the actions and measures necessary for the prevention and control of risks,
the protective measures and other actions to be taken in the event of an emergency.

The Plan is governed by the following principles

To avoid possible accidents or events.
To combat accidents at an early stage.
To try, whenever possible, to combat the accident with the means available in the company itself.
To direct the evacuation of personnel to safe areas.
To provide assistance to possible victims.
To communicate and to cooperate with public bodies and services.
