Self-Protection Plan

The objectives of the Self-Protection Plan are to prevent and control risks to people and property and to provide a suitable response to possible emergency situations, guaranteeing the integration of these actions with the public civil protection system.

The Self-Protection Plan addresses:

  • the identification and assessment of risks,
  • the actions and measures necessary for the prevention and control of risks,
  • the protective measures and other actions to be taken in the event of an emergency.

The Plan is governed by the following principles

  • To avoid possible accidents or events.
  • To combat accidents at an early stage.
  • To try, whenever possible, to combat the accident with the means available in the company itself.
  •  To direct the evacuation of personnel to safe areas.
  • To provide assistance to possible victims.
  • To communicate and to cooperate with public bodies and services.
