Summary
Pronominal particles ci and ne represent one of the main difficulties in learning Italian as a foreign language for Spanish-speaking students. Moreover, these grammatical elements, which were originally adverbs, are included as part of a characteristic feature of Italian morphosyntax. The challenge inherent in this work lies in the fact of identifying the possible solutions that Spanish offers for these pronouns, which native Italians use naturally on a daily basis in different linguistic contexts, as well as designing learning strategies to overcome the lack of grammatical parallelism in this regard between both languages. Consequently, and in order to satisfy the premises expressed above, a working methodology structured as follows will be developed. First, a comprehensive grammatical review will be conducted on the origin and evolution of this morphological concept from Latin. Subsequently, a contrastive analysis will be conducted in Italian and Spanish, with particular emphasis on the uses and meanings of these particles. Finally, a teaching unit will be designed to help Spanish students of Italian as a foreign language learn this topic effectively.
