Work placements

External academic work placements are a training activity carried out by university students and supervised by the USC, which aim to allow them to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training.

Work placements encourage the acquisition of skills that prepare them for professional activities, facilitate employability and promote entrepreneurship.

9 ECTS can be obtained for academic recognition with the completion of external work placements related to the degree.

In order to configure the offer of work placements, the agreements that the University of Santiago de Compostela has signed to carry out external work placements were adapted to the current curriculum of the Degree in Law.

The curriculum of the Degree in Criminology takes into account the completion of a compulsory Work Placement of 16.5 credits.

Its main objective is that students develop the skills acquired in subjects of the Degree through their immersion in a work environment representative of their future professional context.
