External academic work placements can be carried out at the university itself or in collaborating entities such as companies, institutions and public and private entities at national and international level.

External academic work placements are curricular when they are part of the curriculum, whether they are recognised as compulsory or optional credits and count towards the degree.

The curricular work placements are organised by the USC through its centres or through USC-specific degree programmes.
