Summary
In this document, a research project is presented concerning Social Work an Eating Disorders in the city of A Coruña. The main objectives to analyze are, firstly, the existing perception of Social Work in this field and, secondly, the actions of support carried out by the discipline in this city. In order to facilate understanding of the topic, a theoretical framework is provided on these disorders and the role of Social Work in this field, as well as a reference framework to contextualize the services available in the city of A Coruña. The methodology employed corresponds to qualitative research, proposed in the project design through semi-structured interviews and focus groups, involving both Social Work professionals and user of public and private services for the treatment of their disorder. Finaly, the final chapters of this research present the methodological design, the work plan, and the dissemination plan for the results, respectively.
