The USC promotes an institutional culture based on co-responsible work-life balance, promoting programmes and services that make it easier to reconcile work and family life. The promotion of work-life balance allows for a more equal distribution between male and female roles in the University's activities. Initiatives in this area include: the Breogán Nursery School, in operation since 1979, and the Verán CampUSC (USC Summer Camp), organised by the USC Foundation, with a programme of sports and leisure activities for boys and girls aged 4 to 17, which take place in the last weeks of June, July and the beginning of September.
