Differential advantages:
- It allows denser sampling, with a larger number of micro-lenses, avoiding reduction in the size of its sampling elements, longer focal lengths that maintain the spot size, and increases the dynamic range.
- It performs better than classical techniques with less off-centre and less noise propagation.
