Work placements

External academic work placements are a training activity that aims to allow students to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training.

The curriculum of the Degree for Business Administration and Management includes undertaking external work placements, as an option. These work placements are of a curricular nature and last 150 hours (6 credits). Optionally, if the entity and the student agree, the duration can be extended, but these practices would then be extra-curricular and would not be part of the curriculum, although they would appear in the file and in the European Supplement to the Degree (SEP).

The call for the curricular work placements of the Degree in Business Administration and Management is programmed for the month of February and is undertaken in the period between the months of April and August. The student must apply in order of preference for the places offered, the criteria for assignment being their academic record. Likewise, students who enter into an agreement to carry out work placements will have a preferential right to do them at the signatory institution.

The curriculum of the Bachelor's Degree in Business and Technology includes compulsory external internships. Its completion will allow the student to apply the academic training obtained in the classroom to the business reality.

The Faculty has signed numerous agreements for internships and is managing new agreements with companies with a fundamentally technological base to reinforce the coverage of one of the profiles of the degree.

The Master's Degree in Business Administration offered by the Faculty of Business Administration and Management has two curricular guidelines: academic and professional. In professional guidance, it is obligatory to complete 13.5 external work placement credits which are for 337.5 hours, of which 330 correspond to training in the entity and 7.5 to the preparation of the work placement report. Optionally, if the entity and the student agree, the duration can be extended, but these work placements would then be extracurricular and would not be part of the curriculum, although they would appear in the file and in the European Diploma Supplement (SEP).
