1. Encourage critical reflection on preconceived ideas, stereotypes and prejudices, fostering their analysis and transformation – both on a personal and group level.
2. Empower youth, seeking to liberate them from potential restrictions associated with any social or bodily category: sex-gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, purchasing power, appearance...
3. Educate people in the pursuit of freedom, enhancing awareness, critical thinking, wilfulness and desire, as well as a sense of interdependence and a caring attitude towards others.
4. Contribute to the development of key affective competences for relational health: sensitive awareness, regulation, critical autonomy, communication – expressive and receptive – and decision making.
5. Prevent sexual violence, as well as potential risk behaviours, by promoting strategies and safety techniques for alternative sexual practices.
T2.1. Critical thinking.
T4.1. Conflict resolution.
T4.5. Adhering to regulations.
T6.1. Preserving psychological well-being.
T6.3. Exercising rights and responsibilities. -
Evaluation
To assess students’ learning, in the final session, participants will be asked to write a short text that should outline the knowledge acquired regarding the contents covered. To this effect, they may be asked, for example, to reference sexual practices in which there is no consent or to explain when an alternative sexual practice does not meet the consent standards. This text will be handed in at the end of the activity and will be assessed by the teaching staff.
Tutoring
A space for collective reflection on relational health will be created, focusing more specifically on love and sexual bonds, unconventional sexuality and extreme bodily practices. It will also present tools for the development of critical thinking that reinforce the acquisition of skills for conscious decision-making, based on voluntariness and desire, and for a satisfactory approach to relationship and sexual life. Throughout 5 sessions - each lasting 3 hours - a wide range of activities and dynamics will be carried out: verbal and non-verbal expression, group games, analysis of objects and cultural practices, debates, etc.; adapting to the characteristics, needs and interests of the participants, in line with the objectives of the workshop and from an emancipatory and libertarian queer perspective. Language: Galician. Tutorials: No tutorials are foreseen.
