CB7: That students know how to apply the acquired knowledge and their ability to solve problems in new or little-known environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study
CB8: That students can integrate knowledge and face the complexity of making judgments based on information that, being incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments.
CB9 - That students know how to communicate their conclusions and the latest knowledge and reasons that support them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous way.
Cross-cutting competences
CT01 - Work effectively both in interdisciplinary teams, independently and with initiative.
CT02 - Analyze, reason critically, think creatively and communicate your ideas defending and discussing them in an assertive and structural way
CT10 - Ability to analyze and synthesize Specific Competences CE06 - Optimize the mechanisms of growth and production of forest formations through the use of simulators.
CE17 - Plan and manage energy resources and materials for energy, in production and storage processes. Specific competences
CE06 - Optimize the mechanisms of growth and production of forest formations through the use of simulators.
CE17 - Plan and manage energy resources and materials for energy, in production and storage processes.
All class hours will be face-to-face. Course will take 18 hours of interactive and master classes using all the audiovisual media available and which make the course enjoyable and educational for the student.
The rest of the hours to teach, 17, the student must work on the different topics proposed by the teacher. To do this, the student will have the help of the teacher through conventional and personalized tutorials. These 17 hours include 13 hours of tutored support in the form of group work seminars (5) and personalized tutorials (3).
There will be 9 hours of laboratory practice and visits to reference facilities in our community. Within 9 hours of practice, 4 of them will be dedicated to a field practice in Monte Pedroso in which the biomass of a Ulex europaeus bush will be characterized. Another practice will consist of a visit to a forest plantation to practice the quantification of biomass and carbon.
The course is taught at the virtual USC.
- Expository and interactive teaching will be fundamentally face to face. The tutorials can be carried out partially (email, teams).
First and second chance
Continuous formative evaluation: Participation in the class and in the forums of the virtual classroom (20%) and tasks (80%). Virtual campus tools will be used.
It is estimated that for each face-to-face hour, two hours of the student's personal work are necessary.
Active attendance and participation in scheduled classes and seminars are recommended. It is important to resolve any questions that may arise at that time, as well as review and complete the class notes after them. The tutorials represent an excellent opportunity to improve learning and answer questions. The study of the subject will be facilitated by consulting the material that will be made available to students on the USC Virtual website. It is also important to read the recommended bibliography for each topic.
The student will have at their disposal sufficient means to carry out their work in the different centers where the Master's units are taught.
Personal work includes the preparation of papers, monitoring and active participation in each of the scheduled sessions, search and consultation of the latest scientific papers on the subject, after receiving basic guidance and guidance in this regard from teachers.
