General:
- To promote a Significant and Functional Learning of the main Concepts, Principles, Units and Procedures that forms the Theoretical Corpus of Personality Psychology.
- To influence in the applied Stage of the Theoretical and Methodological Developments of Personality Psychology; it consists of passing the Academic Exercise of the Current State of Knowledge to penetrate in their Clinic Implications (without renouncing to it).
Specific:
1) To deep on What, How and So That of Personality Psychology; more specifically, it will paint the different “faces” of the Subject, it will develop the Concept, it will show the different Units of Analysis (What do we know when we know a person?).
2) To show the Theoretical and Empiric Coordinates, in which is established the Prediction and Explanation of Behaviour; more concretely, after a Run for the Historical Developments of Personality Psychology, it will develop exhaustively the main Theoretical Approaches and Empiric Dimensions that constituent the Pillars of the Personality Analysis and Individual Differences.
3) To promote the Orientation towards the Application rediscovering Old Themes that return to interest and advancing the Emergence of New Trends directed to give answer to the Real Problems sensed and lived for the Society. The Emotion, the Stress, the Deviant Behaviour and the Health will constitute, the Arguments of an Oriented Subject, more towards the Application.

Competences of the program to which the subject contributes
1. To know the contributions and limitations of the diverse theoretical models for Psychology.
2. To know the basic laws of psychological processes.
5. To know the psychosocial principles involved in the behavior of individuals and the functioning of groups and organizations.
8. To be able to identify the target recipients’ needs and to set appropriate goals for different fields of Psychology.
10. To promote health and life quality through professional psychological methods in groups, communities and organizations in the different fields of Psychology: educational, clinical and health, work and organizational, group and community contexts.
11. To be able to select and apply adequate and specific psychological intervention procedures and instruments.
14. To elaborate psychological reports addressed to professionals and other recipients in the different professional fields.
15. To conform with the deontological duties of Psychology.
- Ability in the Use of the Psychological Terminology in general and the Discipline in particular.
- To be able to develop a Reflexive Attitude before the Main Disputes that dotted the Discipline.
- To promote the Critical Knowledge of the Main Units and Theoretical Developments that forms the Discipline.
- To be able to develop a Global and Integrated View of the Old Themes and the New Trends.
- To know how to relation the Theoretical Contents with the Practice-applied Dimension.
- To be able to judge in a Coherent Way the Past, the Present and the Trends of Future of the Discipline.
- The Theoretical Classes deal with the Content of the Syllabus and consist of in the Exposition of Themes and Comments of Texts. The more frequently Method used is the “Magisterial Class” (according to the High Number of Students by Class); although, as far as possible, it also realizes “Groups of Discussion” what promote the Active Participation of the Student. In addition to the Theoretical Themes the Student must realize several Readings on Important Aspects of some Themes (it will fix at the beginning of the Course).
- The Practice Classes will consist of in the Fulfilment of the Different Units, always under the Strict Supervision of the Teacher. Most of the interactive classes will be conducted in face-to-face sessions in the classroom (with mandatory attendance), and another part will be carried out remotely, asynchronously, through the virtual classroom of the subject.These Practices are in a Perfect Symbiosis with the Contents developed in the Theory and give adequate Covering to the Different Themes and Topics of the Discipline. It will realize, in the same way, Seminars that can deep on some Questions of Interest for the Discipline.
- Subject Assessment:
It will assess as much the Theory as the rest of the Activities (Practices, Seminars, Readings, and Complementary Works).
- Theory Assessment:
It will realize final exam will coincide with the Date that fix the Registry.
- Practices, Seminars and other Works Assessment:
As much the Attendance to the Practices as their Realization are Compulsory (necessary Condition to pass the Subject). It will assess, in the same way, the Participation in the Seminars and the Realization of other Works.
- Calculus of Marks:
The Qualification obtained in the Theoretical Exams is equal to the 60% of the Mark; whereas the remaining 40% is given to the rest of the Activities (the Student must pass both parts independently; that is to say, the Student must get at least 3 in Theory and 2 in the rest of the Activities).
