A) Expository classes in large group: Master class taught by the teacher. The teacher will have the support of audiovisual and computer media.
B) Small group interactive classes: Theoretical / practical classes in which you will work on the different topics of the interactive classes. Stable groups of 5-6 students will be established. Students will actively participate in these classes in different ways: delivery of exercises to the teacher; solving exercises in the classroom, etc. In order to be eligible for continuous assessment, the student must attend the interactive sessions.
For interactive classes in Epidemiological Methodology it is necessary to carry a scientific calculator, and a laptop with Epidat 3.1 installed is recommended.
Epidat 3.1 as well as the "Manual of epidemiological method" are available on the subject's website.
The final exam may include multiple choice questions, short questions and subjective questions of all the topics addressed in the lectures and interactive classes.
The multiple-choice questions of the exam will be corrected ensuring control of the probability of hitting by chance. For this, the correctly answered questions (NR), the number of possible options (NO) and the number of total questions (NP) will be considered, according to the following formula:
Grade=(((NR*NO)-NP)/((NO-1)*NP)))*10
The final exam will be rated from 0 to 10.
2. Continuing Evaluation
For the evaluation of the interactive classes, different criteria will be used: submitting of work done in class, and tests or attendance of the seminars. The continuous evaluation will be rated from 0 to 10.
3. The student's grade will be:
Final Exam*0.7 + Continuous Evaluation*0.3
In the extraordinary evaluation of July, the same evaluation system will be maintained.
The same evaluation system will be applied for students who realize the course in another university via Erasmus and return with it suspended
