Surveying and geomatics

Acquire the basic knowledge to understand the necessary procedures for carrying out a topographic survey. Know the characteristics of Classic Topography Instruments. Know the characteristics of GNSS Systems and their connection with classic topography and other resources for Projecting or directing civil works. Be able to apply classic or satellite topographic methodology to carry out a topographic survey, calculate and obtain correct results. Be able to interpret plans, maps and orthophotos and other cartographic products, in paper and digital form. Know at user level the management and utilities of Geographic Information Systems. Perform sufficient field and laboratory practices to learn how to plan a topographic survey, perform field data collection, and execute the correct graphical representation and calculations of the results. Be able to organize and execute a work stakeout. Know, understand, and use the basic principles of photogrammetry and remote sensing.

1) STUDENTS CURSING THE SUBJECT FOR THE FIRST TIME:

[EC] Student participation in classroom activities (10%)
The student will have questionnaires that they will have to carry out in the virtual classroom, as well as practical activities for the application of the acquired knowledge, obtaining a grade out of a maximum of 10 points.

[EX] Test or tests, oral and/or written (60%)
The exam will consist of theoretical and practical questions scoring a total of 10 points.

[PR] Practical leveraging (30%)
The student must deliver the practical activities that are being carried out, scoring with a total of 10 points. In the case of a practical trip, attendance will be mandatory. The evaluation of this activity will be computed under this heading.

2) STUDENTS WHO DID NOT PASS THE COURSE IN PREVIOUS YEARS:
You will be evaluated with the same criteria as the students enrolled for the first time.

ADITIONAL INFORMATION:
- The evaluation of the first and second opportunities will be carried out using the same criteria.
- In cases of fraudulent completion of exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of academic performance of students and the review of qualifications will apply.

The study times established in this course are:
- Theoretical lectures: 24 hours
- Interactive classes (practicals/seminars): 24 hours
- Gupal tutorial: 3 hours
- Personal study, reading and finishing homework: 95 hours

- Attendance at all theoretical and practical sessions.
- Daily consultation of the virtual campus.
- Attendance at group tutorials to discuss, clarify or resolve any doubts.

DISPENSE OF ASSISTANCE:
Students who are granted this exemption must follow the course through the Virtual Campus, making all the necessary deliveries to obtain a positive grade in EC, PR and EX respectively.
