Competencies and learning results that the student must acquire:
GENERAL COMPETENCIES:
CG1 – Know the curricular contents of the subject in Secondary Education.
CG4 - Search, obtain, process, communicate information, transform it into knowledge and apply it to teaching-learning processes.
CG17 - Develop habits of learning to learn.
SPECIFIC COMPETENCES:
CEE1 – Know the educational and cultural value of foreign languages.
CEE2 – Know the contents taught in these subjects.
CEE3 – Know the history and recent development of the subject.
CEE4 – Know the contexts in which the curricular contents of the subject are used or applied.
TRANSVERSAL COMPETENCES:
CT1 – Use bibliography and search tools for general and specific bibliographic resources.
CT2 – Adequately manage work time and organize available resources.
CT3 – Enhance the ability to work in cooperative and multidisciplinary environments.
1) IN-PERSON CLASSES. In-person classes include expository sessions and interactive sessions. The expository sessions will focus on introducing and presenting the theoretical, conceptual, and methodological framework. The interactive sessions will be dedicated to carrying out analysis and critical reflection tasks and will constitute an important space for debate and sharing.
2) SCHEDULED TASKS. Through the USC Virtual Campus, different tasks will be proposed to students on the contents covered in face-to-face classes.
3)ORAL PRESENTATION. All students in this subject must present an oral presentation in the classroom. The topics to work on will be decided in the classroom.
The final grade for the subject (first opportunity) will take into account the active and informed participation in the sessions, as well as the completion of the indicated readings and other proposed activities.
Attendance and participation in the different proposed activities: 50% of the grade
Delivery and oral defense of a presentation that will demonstrate the acquisition of the established general and specific competencies: 50% of the grade.
This same evaluation system will also govern the second opportunity.
Students who have been granted exemption from class attendance by the Dean's Office may be evaluated for the entire subject at the first opportunity following the following criteria: 1) participation in the activities agreed upon with the teaching staff (50%); 2) delivery and defense of a presentation that will demonstrate the acquisition of the general and specific competencies established in the manner and date agreed upon with the teaching staff (50%).
In the event of fraudulent completion of exercises or tests, the provisions of art. 16 of the Regulations for the evaluation of academic performance of students and the review of qualifications:
“A realización fraudulenta dalgún exercicio ou proba esixida na avaliación dunha materia implicará a cualificación de suspenso na convocatoriacorrespondente, con independencia do proceso disciplinario que se poida seguir contra o alumno infractor. Considerarse fraudulenta, entre outras, arealización de traballos plaxiados ou obtidos de fontes accesibles ao público sen reelaboración ou reinterpretación e sen citas aos autores e das fontes”.
Expository classes: 9 hours.
Interactive classes: 12 hours.
Tutoring: 3 hours.
Student personal work:
Assimilation of theoretical contents: 25 hours.
Search for bibliography and other materials for the preparation of the presentation: 25 hours.
Preparation of presentation: 25 h.
1.Students must prepare the exercises and recommended readings in advance for discussion in class.
2.Likewise, they must regularly check the virtual classroom of the subject and their email, means through which they will be sent information and they will be notified of last minute changes.
3.No email from a non-institutional email account will be answered. Therefore, those students who wish to contact the professors by this means must do so using their USC email and, preferably, do so through the Virtual Campus.
4.Respect for the environment is one of the main concerns today. In this way, we as human beings must show responsibility in this sense in order to reduce our impact on the environment and preserve our natural resources.
5.Assuming that gender violence is a violation of human rights, we must fight hard to stop it, understanding that good education on the subject at an early age should be essential to avoid it.
