The Department includes 9 areas of knowledge - Archaeology, Library Science and Documentation, Historiographic Sciences and Techniques, Ancient History, Contemporary History, History of America, Medieval History, Modern History and Prehistory - with 53 teachers and researchers who teach subjects in 12 degrees, 4 double degrees, 12 master's degrees and 4 PhD programmes and carry out their scientific production through 8 USC research groups.
