Objectives
Develop basic clinical skills, practicing assisted surgical techniques and pre- and post-operative care.
Perform fundamental diagnostic procedures, including anamnesis, clinical examination, imaging diagnostics, and laboratory tests.
Recognize common lesions and diseases, through necropsy practice and basic laboratory analysis.
Understand the principles of dairy production management, applying reproductive diagnosis techniques and herd health strategies.
Familiarize themselves with biomedical research using zebrafish, understanding its veterinary applications and basic experimental techniques.Career options

This five-day course will be taught in English and offers participants hands-on clinical training, starting with rotations in the clinical skills laboratory, followed by training at the Rof Codina Veterinary Hospital, laboratory diagnostics, and fieldwork at the Gayoso Castro Farm. The program concludes with research exposure in the zebrafish laboratory. It is designed to enhance practical skills and provide insights into the latest advancements in veterinary sciences. Students will have tutorial support from the teachers involved.
