Delve into the following general objectives:
1.- Identify health criteria.
2.- Know the most common clinical and therapeutic aspects of their medical-surgical pathology.
3.- Learn to order and interpret basic additional tests needed for the diagnosis of this pathology.
4.- Learn to make a chart.
5.- Complete semiotics per organs and systems.
6.- Learn to assess basic biological constants.
7.- Measure anthropometric parameters and learn to appreciate them.
8.- Learn the basics of preventive medicine.
9 - Know in practice the concepts of asepsis and antisepsis.
10.- Know the basics of emergency medicine.
11.- Know the importance of teamwork.
12.- Basic resuscitation maneuvers.
13.-. Introduce wound healing, lumbar puncture, tuberculin reaction, bladder catheterization, canalization of veins, medication administration, nasogastric tube.
External internships in non-teaching period may be carried out in health institutions in Galicia. These institutions, in addition, must accept the commitment to offer the internships in the appropriate period to be able to assign them among the students who request it. In recent years, the organizations that acquired this commitment were SERGAS and POVISA.
Activity on part-time position for a month implies recognition of 3 ECTS as long as there is evidence they reached the agreed skills. Dedication means part-time in the institution's permanency 3 hours a day for four weeks, representing a total of 60 attendance hours plus 15 hours of personal work by students.
Generally the recommended in clinical practice I, II and III. Particularly recommended by the tutor.
The general responsibilities listed in the report of the degree.
Students will be under the direct supervision of their tutor in the activities of the various departments and units responsible for clinical teaching. Control activities and the achievement of the objectives will be the responsibility of the tutor assigned to each student.
The academic coordinator will perform the assessment considering the report issued by the responsible tutor and the own final report of practices activity made by the student. This final report of practical activity should be signed by the responsible tutor and will be introduced in the virtual secretariat of the matter within the prescribed period. The tutor must communicate the proposed assessment to the coordinator, who is responsible for the management of academic records of matter.
The rating system will be the regular for the subjects of the curriculum.
Evaluation mechanisms will be considered by the tutor, being recommended by us, since the tutor/student ratio is 1:1, continuous assessment and reasoned correction with the student's work during practice corresponding.
The evaluation questionnaire conducted for this purpose includes the following sections, scored from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score:
1.- Dedication and schedule fulfill by the student.
2.- Attitude, motivation and integration of the student in the workplace.
3.- Performance of the practices by the student.
4.- From the beginning to the end of the internship the student improved his initial formation of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills.
5.- Evaluation of submitted report.
The note is obtained as follows: Proposed evaluation (sum x 0.4)
Evaluation.
The evaluation will be carried out as stated in the subject file since the system used does not require attendance. Making a report, signed by the tutor, and proposing a grade to the internship coordinator.
Activities:
Clinical work: 60 hours
Personal work: 15 hours
Clinical work + personal work: 75 hours.
-Use the recommended bibliography, no matter the format, it is important that the student gets used to handle books and enter in searching and reading scientific articles.

Acquiring domain-specific assessment in clinical cases with special interest.
Since the health field in which clinical practices in recess period includes many different units, ranging from hospitals with large endowments (both personnel and infrastructure) to health centers where development of healing is very different to the former, it is essential for the student the adaptability to the environment of the practices.
The performance of these practices not only depends on the environment, tutor or infrastructure, but also on the ability and willingness of the student to get the best of the circumstances in which the practice takes place.
These practices are carried out during the months of June, July and August, but you can only take one month of practice per academic year. Students starting from third grade may participate through an announcement made by the Faculty in March. Places are those offered by SERGAS and POVISA. In the allocation of places preference is given to students enrolled in higher grades versus those enrolled in the lower grades and, if there are more applications than places, allocation shall be made according to the average of the academic transcript. Once it is published the final list of allocation of places, students must apply for enrollment in UXA.
