Provide students with the research and communication skills established by the Curriculum.
Conducting and publicly defending before a court of an investigative work under the direction of a guardian.
It consists of the elaboration, by the student, individually, under the supervision of a tutor or academician an original work in which the training content received, skills, competencies and skills in research and communication are integrated and developed, acquired during the studies of the Degree of Dentistry.It would include, at a minimum, search and bibliographic review tasks, Reading and integrating information, preparing relevant results, drafting, and presenting and defending the work. It would be aimed at evaluating the competencies associated with the degree such as: training for the search, management, organization and interpretation of relevant data, usually from its area of study; issue judgments that include a reflection on outstanding topics of social, scientific, technological or ethical nature, and that facilitates the development of critical, logical and creative thinking and judgment.In accordance with the student's knowledge and the nature of TFGM, the tutor will recommend the bibliography he deems appropriate.

Skills or abilities
H/D19. Know about the scientific method and have critical capacity to value established knowledge and new information. Be able to formulate hypothesis, collect and critically evaluate information for problem solving, following the scientific method.The student will receive supervision from a tutor who will propose questions of relevance that may be the subject of a research paper in which the student can apply the previously acquired knowledge and skills. Under the tutor's supervision, the student will write a report with the contents proposed as work, resorting to the sources of bibliographic information, consultation of clinical, experimental, and epidemiological data, etc. The tutor will guide the student and follow up on the TFG preparation process.
The tutor must evaluate the work done by the student and the research report prepared. The tutor's qualification will be between 0 and 10, and only the public defense of those works with a qualification greater than or equal to 5.La public defense of the research work will be carried out on the dates established for each of the existing calls in each academic year. The defense will be conducted before a court consisting of 3 members, all professors of the Degree of Dentistry. The defense will have a maximum duration of 25 minutes, of which a maximum of 15 minutes will correspond to the exposure, followed by 10 minutes for question shift by members of the court. The court shall issue a unique rating reached by consensus of the members or by the average of each member's qualifications in the event that consensus is not reached. In order to be able to present and defend the TFGM in the established calls, students must have passed all theoretical and practical credits corresponding to the Bachelor's curriculum with master's level in Dentistry.
Once the act is completed, the Court will proceed to deliberate the qualification. To overcome the public defense, the grade issued by the court must be equal to or greater than 5.
Final grade of the subject shall be made under the following scale:- 60% Qualification of the guardian (0-10)- 40% Qualification of the defense (0-10)Those students who do not exceed the public defense may make a new defense of the work on the second call. If you do not exceed it in the two calls, you must make a new TFGM.
The qualification of the TFGM subject will be between 0 and 10 with an expression of a tenth, to which your corresponding Suspense rating (SS, 0-4.9) may be added; Approved (AP, 5.0-6.9); Notable (NT, 7.0-8.9) or Outstanding (SB, 9.0-10). Any work that may be considered praxis or fraudulent will be invalidated and will result in appropriate disciplinary action being taken. Once the process of evaluating the research papers is completed, the TFG Commission of the degree will study whether any of those qualified with Outstanding is deserving of Honorary Enrollment, heard the proposals of the acting courts.Face to face work: 8,5h

In order to be able to present and defend the TFGM the student must have passed all the credits of the degree.
