The Doctoral Programme in Chemical Science and Technology has a broad scientific spectrum which includes professors and research lines from all the Departments of Chemistry at the University of Santiago and Vigo: Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.

  • The degrees that provide access to this Doctoral Programme without supplementary training are the following:

    • In general, any official master's degree in Chemistry, taking as reference those involving the faculties of Chemistry of the University of Santiago and Vigo (Master's in Chemical Research and Industrial Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry and Computational modelling, Colloids and Interfaces).
    • Students holders of the Diploma of Advanced Studies obtained through the USC's Doctoral Programme in Chemistry and Doctoral Programme in Organic Chemistry, as well as the University of Vigo's Doctoral Programme in Chemistry: Foundations and Applications.
    • Students holders of a similar Diploma of Advanced Studies that academically corresponds to that of the previous doctoral programme.

In the case of another profiles different to the above, the Academic Committee will assess each case individually, in order to decide whether they students will require supplementary training (maximum up to 15 ECTS credits), specifying the subjects that must take (maximum three).

In the case of students who have not completed a master's course, they will need an equivalence of training in research credits at least equal to those of the master's that provides access, which equals at least 60 ECTS credits.

  • Points for each merit are evaluated by the committee in the following way:

    Academic transcript: 70%
    Curriculum: 20%
    Interview with the DPAC: 10%
