Upon satisfactorily completing the Final Degree Project subject, students should be able to:
- Collect, manage, organize, and interpret relevant data, usually from the area of study, to make judgments that include a reflection on relevant scientific topics.
- Facilitate the development of critical, logical, and creative thinking and judgment.
- Apply all the competencies associated with the degree program.

The Final Degree Project is a 15-credit subject carried out individually by each student, whose purpose is to accredit in an integrated way the knowledge, competences and skills acquired during the degree studies.
It will include, as a minimum, tasks of bibliographic search and review, reading and integration of information, elaboration of relevant information, writing, presentation, and discussion.

The basic and complementary bibliography will be indicated by the supervisor of the Final Project.

BASIC AND GENERAL
CB1 – To possess and understand the knowledge in an area of study that starts from the base of general secondary education, and is usually found at a level that, although supported by advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that imply knowledge from the forefront of your field of study
CG2 – Students should be able to collect and interpret data, information, and relevant results, obtain conclusions and issue reasoned reports on scientific, technological, or other areas that require the use of knowledge of Chemistry.
CG3 - Students should be able to apply both the theoretical-practical knowledge acquired as well as the capacity for analysis and abstraction in the definition and approach of problems and in the search for their solutions in both academic and professional contexts.
CG4 - Students should be able to communicate, both orally and in writing, knowledge, procedures, results, and ideas in Chemistry to both a specialized and non-specialized audience.
CG5 – Students should be able to study and learn autonomously, with organization of time and resources, new knowledge, and techniques in any scientific or technological discipline.

The Final Degree Project is an experimental project of initiation to research. In general, it is an experimental module, where, in addition to the laboratory hours, personalized tutoring sessions with the teacher-tutor are contemplated.
In addition, throughout the academic year, mandatory attendance activities will be scheduled, including the presentation of the TFGs offered, a course on information skills, a course on safety in the laboratory, and a course on writing and presenting TFGs, the aim of which is to complement the students' training in the subject.
The TFG will be carried out under the supervision of a tutor who will guide and assist the student. The tutor will schedule work sessions with each student, in which he/she will establish the schedule and tasks to be carried out and guide the work. The tutor will be responsible for explaining the characteristics of the TFG to the student, and helping him/her in its development, in the search for the achievement of the proposed objectives, as well as monitoring the TFG and issuing the mandatory and confidential report on this monitoring before the defense of the work and for the purposes of being considered by the evaluating tribunal. In addition, the tutor will be responsible for authorizing the presentation and defense of the same by the tutored student.

The evaluation will take into account:
- Attendance at the activities scheduled throughout the academic year: TFG presentation workshops, laboratory safety course, information skills course and TFG writing and oral presentation course.
- Tutor's report in which motivation, dedication, performance, initiative, autonomy, ability to interpret results and ability to write the report will be assessed. This report will assess the following competences: CB1, CG2, CG3, CG4, CG5, CE15, CE16, CE20, CT12, CT13, CT14, CT15, CT16 and CT17
- Preparation, presentation, and defense of the report before an examining board. The academic tribunal will evaluate the degree to which the student has acquired the competences included in the Degree Report, assessing: content of the report (from 0 to 10 points), written presentation (from 0 to 10 points), oral presentation (from 0 to 10 points), answer to the questions asked (from 0 to 10 points). During this exam the following competencies are evaluated: CB1, CG2, CG3, CG4, CG5, CE15, CE16, CE20, CT12, CT13, CT14, CT15, CT16, CT17.


The calculation of the final grade of the TFG will be done according to the following equation:
Final rating: NT x 0,15 + A x 0,3 + B x 0,5 + C x 0,05

NT. Tutor's report assessment (0-10 points)
A. Average evaluation of the content of the report and written presentation (0-10 points)
B. Average rating of the oral presentation and response to the questions (0-10 points)
C. Evaluation of programmed activities (0-10 points)
