'Tests of Lorentz symmetry and the OPERA results on the speed of neutrinos'

12.13.2011 | 12.00h

Aula Magna

Prof. Glashow will briefly present his views on the recent results on superluminal neutrinos obtained at the experimental facility OPERA, and will explain the refutation he and Andrew Cohen published shortly after. Some other aspects of Lorentz symmetry breaking will be discussed. After a brief presentation, all kinds of questions will be answered by the speaker, and an intense discussion is expected. The colloquium is open to undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs and faculty members.
