    ConCiencia Program

    First-class scientists have visited Santiago de Compostela thanks to the Program ConCiencia, of the University and the Consortium of Santiago.

    Among the objectives of this initiative, three key points are:

    1. Popularization of science by Nobel Laureates or similar awards
    2. Projecting the image of Santiago de Compostela as a focal point of intellectual activity.
    3. Promoting contacts between these top scientists and researchers of the USC.

    These objectives make the ConCiencia programme different from any other initiative of scientific popularization: apart from a public lecture or specific event, it aims at taking advantage of the visit of the invited scientist, favoring his/her contact with local specialists.
