Types of Credit Recognitions
Credits earned in official Spanish university programs or in other official university programs offered by a higher education institution abroad, duly recognized in its country, may be eligible for recognition.
Procedure: Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Office and addressed to UXA Norte, accompanied by the documentation specified in Article 19.2 of the Regulations on Credit Recognition and Transfer for Official Undergraduate and Master’s Degree Programs at USC.
Professional and work experience may be recognized in an official degree program, provided that such prior experience is closely related to the competencies, knowledge, and skills inherent to the corresponding degree, and that the possibility of recognition is included in the verified program report.

Studies in non-university higher education that lead to official qualifications such as a degree in artistic education, advanced sports technician, or advanced vocational training may be eligible for recognition.
Procedure: Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Office and addressed to UXA Norte, accompanied by the documentation specified in Article 19.2 of the Regulations on Credit Recognition and Transfer for Official Undergraduate and Master’s Degree Programs at USC.
ECTS credits in undergraduate programs may be recognized for participation in cultural, sports, student representation, solidarity, and cooperation activities, as well as other complementary academic activities organized by USC.
Recognition may also apply to activities that involve acquiring transversal competencies, such as information literacy, knowledge of the Galician language, foreign and co-official Spanish languages, gender-related training, and participation in training activities within the EUniWell alliance.
Procedure: As established in Section Four of the Rector’s Resolution dated February 5, 2025, regarding the recognition of activities and transversal competencies.
Preliminary Transcript Review
Article 6 of the Regulations on Credit Recognition and Transfer introduces the possibility of requesting a preliminary review of the transcript in order to be informed about the subjects and activities eligible for recognition within a degree program offered at USC. Applicants requesting this preliminary review must pay the fee established for the transcript evaluation.
