    How to transfer my research to society? Training in Innovation Skills Place: Online Dates: February 6, 13, 20 and 27 - 2025 Schedule: from 10:00 to 13:00h
  • This course has been designed to foster the development of innovation skills and the improvement of knowledge-transfer skills of doctoral students, helping them to identify opportunities and create networks of collaboration with the business and social sphere. Participants will learn the principles of the Design thinking methodology by doing, coming up with alternatives on how to transfer their research findings to society in an innovative way, while acquiring innovation and digital skills through practice. They will develop critical skills such as teamwork, complex problem solving, creative thinking, digital prototyping or public speaking skills, among others.
    • We will apply the Design Thinking methodology to solve a real challenge: how to transfer your research to Society, identifying new forms of collaboration and value exchange between the University and the ecosystem.
    • Participants will learn how to use this methodology by doing. They will be able to apply it to their own research work as well as to other challenges they may face in the future. We will conduct 3 workshops of 3 hours each, plus a final workshop to present participants’ solutions:
      Day 1: Understand the context and identify opportunities
      Day 2: Ideation and design of solutions
      Day 3: Prototyping and validation of results
      Day 4: Communication for Innovation. Final presentation PITCH format
  • Passing the modules will require the student to carry out the activities related to the content and proposed by the teaching staff.
  • Noelia Rodríguez Álvarez, has an extensive international career and more than 19 years of multidisciplinary experience. Her professional activity focuses on advising companies and provide academic and executive training in the fields of Strategic Innovation, Business Design and Entrepreneurship, from a practical and action-oriented approach. She coordinates different training programs in innovation and entrepreneurship for educational entities at European level.
